Like they say, when there's good there's evil.

The Election Laws affecting GE13 is a doodle. Instead of dipping your index finger in, it'll be painted in a strip. There's just too much work dipping your finger in. The indelible ink for Malaysia's Election Commission(SPR) is fraught with the good and evil maxim. It's now delible! Perhaps SPR might do their job better if THEY do the ELECTING of Malaysian lawmakers. Wouldnt that be more efficient? It will be good for obedient Malaysians.

But lest sane Malaysians think this is a joke, any normal guy out there is all shook up because the EC Worker did not shake the damn bottle!

Shouldn't we hear what really EC Chairman have to say?

EC told to explain delible 'indelible ink'

Apr 30: Hours after advance voting started this morning, the social media were flooded with images of the removable 'indelible ink' marked on voters' fingers.

The discovery by voters led to a barrage of questions being heaped on the Election Commission, which had been dismissing public concerns over irregularities of the electoral system.

The EC had claimed that the ink would last for about a week.

PAS lawyer Asmuni Awi said the party received many complaints from army and police officers that the indelible ink can be washed away from one's index finger using just water and soap.

“We have received many complaints that the indelible ink used today is not permanent and could be washed. Is this true? If so, PAS wants explanation from EC because it had given its assurance that the indelible ink could last at least three days,” Asmuni told a press conference held in Ipoh.

He expressed concerns that the development would lead to double voting on polling day this Sunday.

Despite voters showing how the indelible ink could easily come off, EC chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof insisted that there was no such thing.

“Impossible, I do not believe the indelible ink can be removed by any oil-based lubricant... the ink is made from silver nitrate. When the ink is put on the fingernail, it will seep into the skin,” he was quoted as saying by The Malaysian Insider.

Aziz urged complainants to come forward to prove their claims. On police’s report lodged by several Pakatan Rakyat leaders on the incident, Aziz said he would leave it to the police.

Political analyst Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff meanwhile questioned Aziz’s sincerity in resolving the matter.

“The people are voting on May 5. Can the police and EC detail their investigation results before then?” he asked.

The consitutional crisis in Perak is like an on-going school classroom for ordinary folks, Perak or National citizens. The difference is an ordinary classroom has a teacher; the Perak crisis has none, since the Federal Court has more or less acted irresponsibly by refereeing a game it shouldn't. Shafiee Abdullah tried to be the teacher but his lessons are weird.

The Issue that the Perak DUN cannot be complete without the person of the Sultan has been played up by Shafiee Abdullah at the Press Club forum/dialogue in Ipoh, very irresponsibly, as a member of Malaysia's court, or Justice of the Peace, being a registered practitioner. He had stated that the DUN is incomplete without the Sultan: this is correct.

For the sake of discussion, the Sultan for this purpose really is not a PERSON, like a DUN member, but more of a symbol and in plain terms, accurately more like, a "stamp", a "chop", expressions not intended to denigrade but attempt to understand and discern.

The existence of the Sultan in the State system is a kind of social contract. What gets more odd is that the King is supposed to be the "Essence" of the DUN. And you know, "Essence" is NOT like that Brands Essence of Chicken, a corruption of the chicken.

The joke about social contracts is that there is no "Enforcer". The thing nearest to an enforcer is a General Election. Unless you're an idiot and you expect God to come down in a Chariot to settle the score. You can't sms God to come down and enforce the social contract , because He will "laugh" at you. (Well, not really - it's just that you'll feel quite ridiculous, sensing that you heard him!) He'll say that Malaysians are hopeless because, we haven't got it yet! Don't bother to read the legalese on this. You might not find any!

The Constitution, State or National is supposed to be perfect. The only thing is that perfection is a heavenly notion and remains where it should be - in the "Aether" !

Maybe God did sms some Malaysians but more appear to realize that we don't expect God to come down! Possibly, Shafee Abdullah thought he did get that sms. He just won't let you see it!

Had dinner with old school friends last night at Topspot, Kuching.

It's great getting together with school friends. Dish choice was restrained for "old boys" but the steamed fish was good. Love steam fish anytime and everytime! Gettogethers like this are also uplifting, invigourating. Great fun!



Other than that it's always the present that send you contemplating. There was no "loose" change! Talk was about "big" stuff! This rigour should add to the swell for more, come September!

Incredible how ugly the media spin is. The things you heard from Kelantan in the MSM is pure dung! Interesting how Kelantan residents got back together after the election regardless of whatever. It seems the reason why BN cannot get back, more likely will never get the State back is because of their folksy fairness and virtuousnes.

Must make a trip there to the feel and witness!

The change on the political scene has given a great sense of anticipation amongst us, and doubtless many more out there in Sarawak. It's happening in our life time and we want to see it through, reminiscent of Brutus in Julius Caesar:

It's incredible what the State Civil Service has degraded into as heard over carrot juices, "kopi o" ice and Guiness Stout! Taib Mahmud was depicted like a slob directing public officials to his in-laws; this is governance in Malaysia Boleh! The present Sarawak Civil Service is in the hands of punks who glibly bullshit in serious meetings. We are really at the " 'height' ready to decline"!

There was no mistake in the discerning fervence. And it colors the hope and the reawakening!
