PRESS RELEASE FROM YAB PERDANA MENTERI

1. I have been in public service for over 45 years. I have served this country as a civil servant, and as an elected representative of the people. I have served as a member of government and feel blessed to serve in the highest office in the land. I have seen this country grow from a small, poor nation into the modern, prosperous Malaysia that we live in today.

2. Despite our successful track record, for the past few years I have firmly believed that our nation is standing at an historic crossroads. We must reform some elements of our nation, we must evolve and mature, or we risk losing all that we have gained in over 50 years. Throughout this time of reform and transformation, we Malaysians need to be united now more than ever before.

3. In all my years of service, I have always been guided by my conscience. I have always placed the interests of the nation above all else. It is with this in mind that I announce I will not stand for the Presidency of UMNO. I do not want a divided party and governing coalition, but one that is united and harmonious. A united Barisan Nasional is vital in order for the country to face the global challenges ahead and for Malaysia to become a fully developed nation, with prosperity and fairness for all.

4. My current term as President of UMNO ends in March next year. There are several initiatives I intend to see through before I leave office. These initiatives are important because they are necessary to move our country forward. These initiatives are needed to regain our country's competitiveness. They are necessary to enable our nation and our society to face the challenges that the world has in store for us. I ask all Malaysians to unite and join me in working towards making Malaysia a better place.

5. First, our institutions need to be reformed and strengthened.

i) The judiciary needs to enhance its stature and credibility in the eyes of the public. Before I end my term, I will table a Parliamentary Bill to establish a Judicial Appointments Commission. Such a Commission will propose judicial appointments in a transparent and merit-based manner.

ii) We also need a strong and effective anti-corruption body that can combat the cancer of corruption without fear or favour. Before the end of the year, I will table a Parliamentary Bill to establish the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, with greater powers of investigation and enforcement. The Commission's oversight structure has been modelled after the successful ICAC in Hong Kong.

iii) I also intend to complete the establishment of a Special Complaints Commission to enhance the integrity and effectiveness of enforcement agencies

6. Second, I have long spoken about the need to ensure that the fruits of growth are more equitably distributed. In the recent Budget, I explained the government's commitment to strengthening and enlarging the Social Safety Net.

We will speed up work on this front to help poor and disadvantaged Malaysians, regardless of background, race or religion.

I will also work to ensure that tangible results can begin to be enjoyed in Iskandar, as well as the development corridor initiatives around the country.

7. Third, I would like to see the Government and Barisan renew their commitment towards building a united and harmonious nation.

Society has seen an alarming decline in inter-racial and inter-religious relations. Various issues have cropped up which threaten to tear the very fabric of Malaysian life.

We need to tackle these issues head-on, through dialogue; deal with the issues constructively and even-handedly; ensure greater clarity and certainty for the people; and focus on the points that unite us, rather than the points that divide us.

For this reason, I will convene a BN Convention early next year. This is a long-term effort that I hope to kick-start and continue to contribute towards.

I fully intend to see through my mission, and I am sure that my successor will carry on this agenda.

I want to hand over to my successor a Malaysia that is capable of weathering the challenges of a dangerous global economy, a Malaysia not of rich and poor, of young and old or of the city or the kampung (village), not of south and north, and not of one religion or another but of unity and harmony.

This is not the time for infighting and narrow politics but for greatness, unity and cooperation.

DR.M : The Thief who cried "Thief!"

"I don't know whether people have heard about the thief who cried 'thief!'. Well the thief got away because people who are not very intelligent went chasing in the opposite direction. The highly educated thief then walked away with his booty," said Dr Mahathir.

Open Letter to Tun Dr. Mahathir on Anwar’s Case

: Open Letter to Tun Dr. Mahathir on Anwar’s Case.
To: All (Tun Dr.) Mahathir fans, please pass this message to Tun Dr. Mahathir.
Dear (Tun Dr.) Mahathir;

You said you are convinced that (Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim) did something unacceptable…?

Tun, deep in your heart, you know that the case against Anwar has nothing to do with sodomy.

Your belief (is) based on your interview with Azizan. No medical check-up was done and you know during the court trial, all the conflicting evidence came out.

You should also know that, that night when you saw Azizan in Sri Perdana, Azizan was driven to your house by a SB officer. He was under tremendous presure.

You should recall when Anwar issue was discussed in MKT meeting, you suggest that Anwar should be charge for womanising. This suggestion was flatly rejected by Rafidah. She said if we charge Anwar for womanising, then half of the MKT members should be charged on the same offence. She suggested we should look at charging hin for sodomy.

For your information, all the GRO girls who confessed to Musa that Anwar slept with in Nalla apartment, was arranged by Samy Vellu, through his Gangster friend, Maniam.

You also must remember, when Anwar was charged for sodomy,he went to the mosque in Johor and swore in the name of ALLAH that he did NOT do it.

You called for an emergency meeting of MKT in your office.

Time 5pm. When the meeting started you said: “Habislah kita, kerana Anwar telah bersumpah di mesjid yang ia tidak lakukan sodomy”

Then Tan Sri Wan Mokhtar said: “Jangan takut, sumpah Anwar tak boleh pakai kerana ia tak sah, ia tak ikut peraturan bersumpah di masjid”

To you,(Tun Dr.) Mahathir and to Tan Sri Wan Mukhtar, ini satu fitnah yang besar and as a Muslim, you are answerable to Allah.

You know very well, (Tun Dr.)Mahathir, during the trial, all the witnesses were under tremendous pressure by Musa (and) by Ghani Pathil. They were coaxed to lie in court.
SB chief Syed Awang is still alive. Dato Amir is still alive. Go and ask them.

Tan Sri Rahim, the IGP, had asked someone to pass a message to Anwar that he should settle whatever political difference with Mahathir.

Tan Sri Rahim knew that Mahathir is about to use police to go after Anwar. Exactly one week after that warning, the police arrested Anwar.

You know, the plot against Anwar was started by (Tun) Daim (Zainuddin) and you agreed with (Tun) Daim’s suggestion because you were very angry with Anwar.

First, Anwar blasted at you because you forced him to use Petronas money to bail out Mizan, your son.

Secondly because Anwar asked ACA to raid Tan Sri Abu Hassan’s office without your knowledge.

Tan Sri Halim Ali, ex-KSN, is still alive. He can confirm this.

You followed blindly what (Tun) Daim asked you to do, and now you know who is Daim.

At the end he also played you out by asking you to resign as PM and to appoint Pak Lah as PM.

You know by now, why Daim wanted to get rid of Anwar at any cost because Anwar has all the records of his corrupted pratice in MOF. How he allocated Resort World and Magnum shares to his nominees and made almost RM 2 billion profit.

(It is) still not too late, Tun, to admit your mistake. Allah is great. Fear Allah.

When you die, there no second chance.

I am 100% sure, what happened to Anwar in 1998 (is) because of fitnah by Daim, Ahmad Sebi, Pak Lah, Aziz Shamsuddin, Megat Junid, Sanusi and all (the) Biro Tata Negara boys like Shagul Hamid,Nordin Kasnan.

Sarawak's Heavyweight Intellectual: Bolhassan Di - no future until we THINK alike!

What is Sarawak's future now that we're in Millennium Two?

The Oracle has spoken. It seems quite clear, according to Bolhassan Di, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Information Technology). This country has too many rough edges which need to be machine-tooled and and smoothened out. And that's very possible.

“Maybe, in the next 20 years or more when people think alike, can we have such a concept here,” Bolhassan told reporters at his Hari Raya open house yesterday, which also saw the presence of the Head of State Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Norkiah as guests-of honour.

Until the country is right and ready BN cannot reform into a single political party. The reason he expounds:

Bolhassan said the country was ‘not ready’ for such a concept to really work until and unless everybody has the same level of intellect, economic and educational background.

What will this profound belief mean to Sarawakians? It might mean mere mortal Sarawakians will be continually consigned to the dustbins of history. Bolhassan's descendants who will be of Pusa Malay and Caucasian lineage would, with excellent diet and esteemed parentage could last at least 7 generations, whilst Datuk Taib's another 17 and the other PBB people 777 years.

There, that wasn't so difficult. Was it? There's no place for anybody else in Sarawak or Malaysia for that matter. Other Sarawakians, who could last 17, 37 or 77 years have better plan for something else.

I must honestly declare right here and now and admit I'll never be any near Bolhassan's intellect. WTF would I want to think like him and be like him for? In any case, would he want to be on the same less than high economic level as the multitude of orang hutan Sarawakians?

BN not ready for single party

Assistant minister says for such a concept to work everybody must share same political ideology

KUCHING: Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Information Technology), Bolhassan Di, says the Barisan Nasional is not ready to form a single political party unless and until everybody shares the same political ideology.

He said this in response to a call by the president of People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Datuk M Kayveas for the BN to become a single political party.

Bolhassan said the country was ‘not ready’ for such a concept to really work until and unless everybody has the same level of intellect, economic and educational background.

Kayveas had suggested in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday for the BN to become a single political party because race-based political parties were losing their relevance in the country.

Bolhassan said such concept should take time to realise. It could not be done overnight.

“Its a good thing to have but it is debatable in the Malaysian context … everybody can say this and that.”

He added that the present concept was still relevant to the country taking into consideration the needs of various races.

He said the BN parties were already under the BN umbrella, which was a form of merger taking into consideration the multi-racial needs. He also noted that Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) the backbone of the state BN was a multi-racial party with membership drawn from the various Muslim and non-Muslim Bumiputera groups in the state.

Kayveas had said that it was about time for BN to start talking about forming a single party, adding that there must be specific time frame to discuss the issue so that BN would become more relevant and had the support of all Malaysians.

“We have to change the mode of politics in Malaysia with the approach of one voice for all the people,” Kayveas was quoted as saying.
