SIBU BY ELECTION | Soon Koh says no flood in Sibu

It's often flooding in Sibu they say. Soon Koh, Wong, has no problem. He thinks its always shallow water there. What's wrong with the guy? Is he a retard?

Why is he so put off in discussing religious issues? Nobody says he has to believe in Islam. Lim Guan Eng is not a Muslim but learns and tries to emulate good values Caliph Umar held. Who cares if he's Muslim or not? That became a problem with UMNO-BN tikus, Shahabudin.

As far as our Constitution goes BN Malaysia is an Islamic State. And Soon Koh is a BN sucker, anyway. Next thing you know, Soon Koh will tell me, a Muslim, not to read the Bible or the Confucius Analects. Shababudin would do that. He is as good as shallow Soon Koh.

SIBU BY ELECTION | What is Wong saying?

The Dayaks learned of some secrets a couple of days ago, squeezed them into a CD which truths the Police are scared of and confiscated them. Usual lame stuff the great BN gomen do. No, I don't know what's in them.

For whose sake? Najib? Lau? Taib Mahmud?

Is Wong Ho Leng of PR lying? What has he said?

I may have to go down to Sibu and hear all of what the guy is yakking about. So far he put it in black and white.

Among the host of things -

    "...
  • The Perak constitutional crisis engineered by Najib,
  • Teoh Beng Hock’s tragic death at the MACC Selangor headquarters,
  • the missing jet engines episode,
  • the RM3.4 billion submarine that cannot submerge under water,
    and
  • an unprecedented sky-high government national deficit of
    RM362.5 billion [and rising]. ..."
Among the many things he suggests we could do:
    "...
  • the open tender system to encourage healthy competition and eliminate cronyism,
  • perpetuity titles,
  • fairer allocation of funds for Chinese and religious schools,
    free water,
  • RM100 bonus for all those aged above 60 in Penang and still manage to have budget surpluses. ..."

SIBU BY ELECTION | Who's winking?

Sure, Mr Najib! People can. People the likes of you!

Who fooled Sarawakians of the State's mineral resources? Yes, Mr Najib! Who did?

Your father, Razak Hussein did. Before Parliament had enacted the Act, he had scammed off Sarawakians of all its natural mineral resources. Then, Abdullah Badawi did it again in 2008. He just gave Limbang's black gold - lock, stock and barrel away to Brunei.

Did Rahman Yakub and his nephew Taib Mahmud schemed in the big rip off, with old Razak, too? Sure they did! It's crystal clear, Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak did not assent to any theft! Neither did Parliament. Rahman's daughter married one of your brothers, didn't she? So it's all in the family, ain't it? The stealing, the lying, the young Malay boy Aminulrashid's shooting ... Good Lord! What wouldn't you do?

The Malaysian economy is perched on the brink of ruin with the mounting debt and all these serial financial crashes.

We're not winking. Is Najib wanking?

SIBU BY ELECTION | Is the tide a problem with Sibu?

"...
We at the height are ready to decline.
There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures. ..."

(Shakespeare, Julius Caesar)

Maybe Sibu should put up a barage like the one in Kuching to prevent flooding. The one in Kuching gets us wet when the Engineer and his men fall asleep. Engineering design there is bad - crude "gate" idea of regulating water flow. You'll understand the problem if you sink under water in your car and trying to open the door from inside or outside. The London Thames Barrier uses a thoughtful practical idea to save the world's financial center!

Or so they thought they did! They forgot the money devils in the very place like Fleet Street who cashed in on the ponzi scheme and caused the world market to sink.

But it would help tremendously if Wong Ho Leng wins this By Election for real reforms to get going. You'll have to dwell further yourself on Shakespeare. In the old days they played zero sum games which UMNO and PBB are still stuck with.

As for the Kuching Barage, if it doesn't work and always floods Kuching because of perpetual rain in the upper catchment area, someone may have to go down and C4 the damn thing!

SIBU BY ELECTION | Not for the broken hearted

Surely, Sibu voters won't let anybody shoot their kids, take their lands nor deny their future!

SIBU BY ELECTION | 'Terang Bulan' over Sibu?

PBB and BN had always held sway over the Malay-Melanau voters in Sibu or elsewhere. That is being chipped away by the PR and with PAS and PKR making their way into the folks kampungs, homes and hearts, the PAS moon is hovering over Sibu.

SUPP is beset with inhouse bickering, signs of bad leadership in SUPP and the state of malaise in the largely Chinese party.

The average Foochow Sibu voters are nice people - known for diligence, hard work and survival. The dialect maybe difficult to follow but if that is difficult you must meet a Heng Hua. Sibu serves a large hinterland and what Sibu is today is the convergence of the ulu people and the urban.

Are the Foochows pragmatic? Are the Malay/Melanaus realists?

It's 'terang bulan' over Sibu!

SIBU BY ELECTION | BN - Buaya timbul disangka mati !

Many wondered what our first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman's motive was for choosing "Terang Boelan" as the National Anthem. He is still believed to have hidden a message by the choice. The original score of "Mamoola Moon" is believed to be a Hawaian tune, conjuring the heavenly tropical islands of Hawaii which it signifies musically.

Songs and verses are not in dearth supply in Indonesia. In fact, the French composer who was reputed to have written Mamoola Moon, might well have not. They weren't so "intellectually rights" conscious those days.

For us now the old folksy rhyme of :"
Terang bulan di pinggir kali;
Buaya timbul disangka mati,
Jangan percaya mulut lelaki,
Berani sumpah tapi takut mati.

[translate as]
In moonlignt splendor by the lake
Up for air a croc is looked over for dead
Don't believe a swooning lover's take
who'll swoon and swear a heavenly sake.

could most appropriately indentify with the empty and false promises of the unethical BN and their cronies in the coalition, especially SUPP and PBB.

If we could survive these uncertain times of serial economic crises, it won't be because of Najib Razak or Taib Mahmud, whose coalition have "lelong" away Limbang Oilfields. It would be because of human resilence in faith, not for vanity of being cajoled with sweet promises, which in reality is but national theft and plunder.

Sibu may have a City Council and all of that guise of the usual legit beaurocracy, but only a few people, cronies of Taib Mahmud decide for Sibu. And Robert Lau, past or present stand for that.

Najib Razak and Taib Mahmud can "sumpah" or SUPP can squander away public finances and State assets in their delusions of granduer but we know better - they're like "buaya timbul disangka mati"!

For decades now BN is the "Buaya". Let's see voters to skin it in Sibu and wherever because their politics are embodied in their wanton irresponsility in governance.

SIBU BY ELECTION | Ban alcohol 48 hours before polling

I don't care if you drown yourself in drinks after the results are announced, but it's good sense to ban alcohol in Sibu 48 hours before polling day. Save all all the drinks you want until after the results are announced.

Can we call on UMNO to declare the ban? If it's "haram" for them?
