29 MPs can bring back the Sun into our lives

We know you're considering. We know you'd like to stand up for Malaysia! You, 29 MPs can bring back the Sun into your lives and every other Malaysian.

You decide! Do it now! It's for yourselves first!

DNA Bill - Greener grass on the other side

Anwar, always beckoning ...

Pix: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com.my

The Malaysian BN members of Parliament, except one Datuk Anifah Aman (BN-Kimanis), are so helpless they should realise this malicious and ill-conceived Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Bill may not catch Anwar but they themselves, their philandeering ways and their search for 3 extra wives. If the Draconian Najib and Mahathir could have their ways, they would sprinkle all the BN MPs ribbon acids all over town and they'll be dead ducks.

But, but they won't need to be! It needs only 29 others to protect themselves and every Malaysian from this lanun scurge. Of course they know how to bargain!

No DNA! Or they switch sides. Anwar is beckoning!

The Star Online report H E R E !

Malaysian Opposition beefs up further with new leader

Finally, the real SUMPAH!

It is fitting now that Anwar Ibrahim be sworn in so that he can participate contstructively in the forthcoming debate on the '09 Budget.

Next week, Ramadhan, the fasting month begins. With inflation rearing its ugly head, now said by the Government to be at 8.5% but feels like 18.5%, we want to see our money wisely spent for all of us, especially the deserving less to do in the kampungs. We've been subsidising the well-to-do lanuns long enough!

The plan to lead Malaysia, as AlJazeera reports, is still on.

BREAKING NEWS !!!

21:54 hrs:

The final tally is a majority of around 16,500, according to unofficial sources. On a more sobering note, the simple kampong shopkeeper here says,”We don’t get anything whoever wins, you know.” Ariff, he said, was a nice guy. “He just happened to be in the wrong ‘car’ (party).”

Bangkok Post called it a "landslide"!

17:30 hrs:
-->Estimated 70% voter turnout at 16:00 hrs

At 16:10 hrs Hands down win for Anwar -
http://anilnetto.com

About noon, 12:00 hrs KL Post reported situation was shaky for PR. In Seberang Jaya, Arif Shah's DUN area about 20% Malays came out to vote and they were heavy for BN. About 55% Chinese and Indians turned out and an estimated 60% favored PR.

In other DUN areas of Pasir Panjang and Permatang Pasir, KL Post expressed pessimism.

14:15 hrs:
Some 48 per cent of the 58,459 voters have cast their votes by noon today and the Election Commission is expecting a high turnout of 80 per cent for the Permatang Pauh by-election, almost similar to the turnout at the March 8 general election.

Observers note that a high turnout will favour Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as a by-election usually attracts fewer voters due to the fact that many people think one seat will not change the equation of the government.

11:00 hrs: Turnout stated at 30.6%, Datuk Kamaruzaman Mohd. Noor, SPR.

During the recent GE2008, it was 81%

10:23 hrs: "...Superpoorman tells us that voter turnout appears as high as the 2008 general election and Ariff Shah has received a lukewarm reception:

I went to queue up in front of the SK Seberang Jaya II voting centre’s gate @ 7.45am. There were already several early birds in the queue and hoards of reporters. Ariff Shah and his wife and several women walked from his house and arrived there @ 7.50am. He attempted to chat up the voters but their responses were lukewarm. From their expressions and body language it looked as if they were not voting him. Nobody offered to salam him. Even those extended salam by him merely shook his hand and quickly pulled back. Not a single voter were heard uttering any ‘good luck’ wish.

Instead, a Malay man next to me was quite pissed off by Ariff blocking the entrance; I could see this man rolled up his eyes and draw a deep breath. ..."

Permatang Pauh - BN ways of humiliating Malaysians

Vote buying by BN in Permatang Pauh

More pix ...

PIX: http://www.p99ampang.com

This is a touching picture. When you recall hearing the spin of how supposedly prosperous and great and boleh Malayia is; how well known and how high the national reputation is with the world; how creative and innovative we are that we are leaders to some countries---it breaks your heart to see this lady meekly accepting money to put BN into power.

What has BN been doing for her and many others like her all this while, only to denigrade and humiliate her with money for consent to treat her and many others like her for the last 51 years?

We could have done much to restore her pride and dignity.

Biggest event since Merdeka: They came from all over ...!

All over the land ... that's where they came from. Those PR supporters! Good lah! Once in 5 years the Makciks and Pakciks can slaughter those literally hungry people and they'll do it in wholesome goodwill. What a drag life will be when everyone leaves...! Plenty of rubbish for the Council to clean up!

And life in Permatang Pauh will be the same old broken promises? Better not be ...! Anwar Ibrahim is not one to have taken the trouble and leave a bad sour taste in the mouth. The BN did that!!!

My take is that this is not a by election. Am I glad when this is all over!

It's a supra General Election. Odd that the PM was not in the forefront when it is the supra General Election. And Najib the DPM is doing all the defence for the offence he meted out. But he's not the BN leader! Or has he always been the shadow PM? The closet leader with a closet full of bones? Or is he part of much bigger wardrobe?

The biggest comment Abdullah made to my mind has been that "Evil" comment he dropped on a blogger! Another who spurns bloggers is Tunku Abdul Aziz in his NST column. He's joined DAP! Without the comfort of the much touted UMNO NST, the DAP had fought GE08 with a lot of blogging! Perhaps Tunku Aziz had been busy for 20 years aiding and inspiring pro DAP bloggers. That would be subtle transparency!

Ariff Shah, Anwar's opponent and team sounded as if he wouldn't have noticed it if Penang Island had sunk! Abject nonchalance! The workers and supporters deserted him and listened to Anwar's speeches and all he could tell us was he is half Chinese, half Indian and no half left for Melayu! And that he's abandoned his doctorate studies!

Let's get this over with and start living again! Inflation is killing! I say! We still got a lot of living to do lah!

This is no small change we started!

We should now be talking big bucks that South Korea and Taiwan made that we didn't.

And let's stop caning migrant Indonesian labor who are direct descendants of many ancestors of Malaysians!

Biggest event since Merdeka: Permatang Pauh - Anwar's speeches attract BN campaign workers

Pix: anilnetto.com
Top Left and Right and bottom Left: empty BN campaign booths
Bottom Right: PR campaign workers engrossed in their jobs.

Have BN election workers been disillusioned? Their campaign hands appeared attracted to Anwar's speeches and leaving their work booths deserted

At Seberang Jaya, BN Ariff Shah’s stronghold, Jalan Siakap 12, in the neighborhood of the deserted BN booths, Anwar was having a 'ceramah' (campaign speeches) with about 1,000 people or more, amongst them perhaps the UMNO people smitten by PR's messages.

The biggest event since Merdeka: Permatang Pauh by elections - BN Governments unethical practices

The BN government of Malaysia led by UMNO profess utmost competence and fairness. They say it all the time. It sounds and looks like fairness and good governance. Like the Lingamgate, that's as far as it goes.

MAFREL (Malaysian for Free and Fair Election) monitoring the situation in Permatang Pauh as the days dwindle to voting hours recorded several wrongful acts, the most serious being the Police being used to intimidate the genral public and the unaccountable postal voters.

How, under the BN, Malaysia has been able to convince global business community is beyond understanding. As we consider this we'd be accused of damning our own nation. We've done nothing of the sort. The BN government is a consummate adherent of Murphy's law---very many of the things it does are not right by Malaysian citizens. It cannot be any more right for others.

Biggest event since Merdeka: Permatang Pauh - laying past spirits to rest

Weather forecasts for Penang and Permatang Pauh area

Are Malaysians haunted by their Dear Departed?

In Sarawak the spirits of past Dayaks and Malays could be haunting their political leaders as greed overcame good sense.

In Permatang Pauh, the ghost of Altantuya, the murdered Mongolian and alleged lover of Najib Razak, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, would not rest in peace. Tried as he might Najib could not invoke peace on her spirit as he SWORE and DENIED any knowledge of her.

It's now 3 days to D-Day for Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar Ibrahim, 3 days for change to ruote out bad governance and propose to Malaysians a future they can all share, a future not just for the Tuans of Tuns, Tan Sris and Datuks and some beholden royals. It will be the start of a future of another 50 years. There will be no promise of a good life---there will be a promise to determine shared hopes and ideals that will lead on to a shared earned good life.

On Tuesday night, August 26, 2008, thunder may herald a new beginning as heavy clouds hover over Penang and Permatang Pauh but lest the revellors be struck down by lightning, all the participants of the by election would perhaps like to remember in modesty humility the challenges and monumental tasks ahead.
