Pakatan sedia depani provokasi akhir Umno

MCA | Democracy works?

Say what you like about MCA's position in the BN or the nation, democracy seems to work. They've demonstrated what it means to resolve internal party disputes and they may be able to move on.

Will they move on and help make meaningful contribution to the process of democracy in Malaysia? If the same situation has occurred in UMNO, the Malaysian Navy left with only only 2 support ships would have been involved!!!

Bagan Pinang | Ghastly BN campaign acts

BN has resorted to extremely unethical campaign tactics, harping on Najib's old picture visiting Nik Aziz, PAS Spiritual Leader, when he was hospitalized early in the year. Is Najib praying for the leader's speedy departure? One Mongolian girl had disappeared mysteriously, her remains found, literally in pieces , killed by a C4 explosive from the Malaysian military.

Obama and The Peace Award | Share it!

"I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee. Let me be clear, I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations. To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize, men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.

But I also know that this prize reflects the kind of world that those men and women and all Americans want to build, a world that gives life to the promise of our founding documents. And I know that throughout history the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it's also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes.

And that is why I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations to confront the common challenges of the 21st century. Now, these challenges can't be met by any one leader or any one nation. And that's why my administration's worked to establish a new era of engagement in which all nations must take responsibility for the world we seek."

I heard there are 3 more state seats going for by-elections soon too. One of them is in Jempol in 9Negeri too. Seems the candidate here is terminal cancer. Actually, 9Negeri narrowly became Pakatan cos we weere short of 3 seats saja. So lets keep our fingers crossed. ..."

It's very noble for Malaysian politicians to serve their country in government, whether its for ruling party or in opposition. We can't go on having these by elections. It's almost monthly. The real business of government is like a sideshow now!

One of the criteria SPRM should really consider for the contesting candidates must surely be proof of good health!

As it is now, we should have had a General Elections yesterday!

For the malicious act of taking down the opposition banners and posters, the Chairman of the Election Commission should have the decency to resign when he didn't know how the ROS laws should operate!

Bagan Pinang | Cross counter Cross

The intense campaigning by both BN and PR now witnesses last minute rush to sway voters to either side. The Malaysian Insider reports UMNO has gained dozens of PKR members in Teluk Kemang. PKR on the hand has enticed hundreds of UMNO members. No firm information is apparent in the jumble. Polling is on Sunday 11.

Meanwhile any good forecast is futile in the race to the last day. It could possibly be the last impression on the way to the polling booths that might determine their choice.

While the election battle heated up, some friends out in Seremban today appear to be have been engrossed at the sight of a crocodile in the midst of calmness and serenity at the Lake Garden. While back at Teluk Kemang it sounded like a smackdown.

Update

Malaysiakini has some numbers on the cross-overs:
"...He [Anwar Ibrahim] is also expected to receive 300 forms from former Umno and Gerakan members who want to join PKR.

Meanwhile, Umno and Barisan Nasional candidate Isa Samad received 125 forms from former PKR members to join Umno.

This included former PKR committee member Shahruddin Abdul Hamid, who initially wanted to contest in Bagan Pinang as an independent candidate. ..."

Bagan Pinang | Bias, incompetent and malicious SPRM

"The condition does not apply to political parties as they enjoy a national status. Only state-level organisation aspiring to become a national entity needs to have seven members from the states."
- Datuk Md Alias Kalil, Registrar of Societies (ROS) Director-General [Bernama]

The Chairman of Malaysian Election Commission (Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya Malaysia) on 6th October ordered Police to take down posters and banners of opposition parties of the Pakatan Rakyat, PKR and DAP, as acording to him such acts were illegal as the Pakatan was not registered as a Coalition under the Registrar of Socities Act.

ROS on the other hand came out with a different interpretation of the Law and says this does not apply to political parties.

On the 6th October, Tan Sri Dato Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof rubbished PR's protest on his actions sending his officers and Policemen and taking down all the posters. These materials cost a lot of money which, unlike the BN, came from the donations of members and supporters nationwide. The BN, despite having huge unknown resources didn't even pay up their campaign materials used in previous elections.

This so-called Chairman of SPRM is a rogue public servant and should answer in a court of law his dumb actions and malicious acts against the opposition.

I would sue and labor for costs and expenses, the annulment of the election result and the dismissal of the bugger. He should rot in jail!

Ahoy! Ship on Fire!

KD Inderapura 1505

This ship cost RM43.0m, second hand, and it cost another RM54.4m to refit. It was built in 1970, used by the US Navy and bought by Malaysia in 1994.

It just got burnt today. Fires occured in the Office and Stores.

We'll be down to 2 instead of 3 support ships. The other 2 are KD Sri Inderasakti and KD Mahawangsa. The Military will now have to place a new order for another ship. France again?

So how is the Bagan Pinang postal voting today? Any news and will they be good news for some?

Bagan Pinang | "Akhirat for ISA SAMAD"

After winning the UMNO party elections for a Vice President seat in 2004, Isa Samad, the current candidate for Bagan Pinang had the gall to say:

"Those who took my money and voted for me it is good. Those who took it and did not vote, we will see each other later on the 'akhirat' day (day of
reckoning)". - MalaysiaKini

He was punished by UMNO's discplinary rules and banished from the post for 3 years. UMNO doesn't believe in the country's Judiciary which couldn't touch him.

Would he do it again? Won't he?

Middle East Nuclear issue| No one is dancing, yet...

ElBaradei says nuclear Israel number one threat to Mideast: report

TEHRAN, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei said Sunday that "Israel is number one threat to Middle East" with its nuclear arms, the official IRNA news agency reported.

At a joint press conference with Iran's Atomic Energy Organization chief Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran, ElBaradei brought Israel under spotlight and said that the Tel Aviv regime has refused to allow inspections into its nuclear installations for 30years, the report said.

"Israel is the number one threat to the Middle East given the nuclear arms it possesses," ElBaradei was quoted as saying.

Israel is widely assumed to have nuclear capabilities, although it refuses to confirm or deny the allegation.

"This (possession of nuclear arms) was the cause for some proper measures to gain access to its (Israel's) power plants ... and the U.S. president has done some positive measures for the inspections to happen," said ElBaradei.

ElBaradei arrived in Iran Saturday for talks with Iranian officials over Tehran's nuclear program.

Leaders of the United States, France and Britain have condemned Iran's alleged deception to the international community involving covert activities in its new underground nuclear site.

Could the Israelis have more, than Iran? Then why are they so pathetically paranoid?

Those Orthodox Jews are right! (Please click the video clip in the linkedin page!)

In Malaysia we have paranoid politicians in the BN whose only deliverance is anybody's guess.

Post Raya blues

Raya in the kampungs stretch up to a whole month. It's those moments when you just have to meet relatives or very dear friends. Not all will have this luxury now. You have school fees and groceries to keep up with. And, despite what Bank Negara says, prices are rising. Dr M complained salaries and wages are low in Malaysia. That's what I like about the Old Man. He can't say no to the return of workers unions. Even our Policemen need a union to bargain for reasonable salaries. Here's my friend's experience of an encounter with the traffic Policeman who might have a dose of post Raya blues.

This morning, driving back to PJ from home I was stopped for speeding.
Here's what happened..

Me: (wound down car window, and got ready driving license)

Police: (approaches my car) Boss! (gave me a big smile - must be anticipating a big fish here, ready to slaughter!)

Me: Saya ini bukan boss lah! (smile)

Police: Awak ada bawa laju ini?

Me: Huh? Tak tahu? Saya jalan 110 saja... Berapa laju?

Police: 24km dari sini, di Tapah awak bawa 115.. macam mana?

Me: Sudah salah, saman lah (smile)

Police: Boleh bayar saman? RM300 untuk speeding..

Me: Bayar lah, ini kereta company, saya bayar sendiri lah.. (smile)

Police: Tak boleh belanja minum ke? (smile)

Me: Tak boleh.. (smile and shook head)

Police: Belanja sikit minum..

Me: Tak boleh (smile and shook head)

Police: Ok, saya lepaskan awak.. (returned my driving license)

Me: Terima kasih, encik (big smile)

I always refused to bribe my way out of being issued an traffic offense summon, and most time I am let off (exception of one time I had to pay a RM100 fine, which was discounted to RM50).

"I have stated openly that I could step down (as PBB president) anytime, but the party asked me to wait first, so I've left it to the party to decide."

Meanwhile at the same function, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu, who is also PBB deputy president, said the party members gave their full support to Taib to continue leading the party.

Bagan Pinang | Will PAS salt the slugs?

Was there any truth to the UMNO allegation of PAS' supporters pouncing on Umno supreme council member Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim"? There were certainly more PAS/PR supporters at the Nomination! Here's an idea from an eyewitness on Saturday and PAS/PR supporters outnumbered UMNO/BN's.

Hi guys,

I just returned from the nomination centre area. Of course we outnumbered BN supporters at least 5 to 1 or even 10 to 1. I tell u, it must be pretty dismal for the BN side.U should have seen the amount of people over here and there was the police n FRU as usual to keep both sides apart. At one stage there was tension and the PAS youth told us not to walk down near the enemy line cos feelings were 'panas'
This isi the 9 God Festival period and the weather is going to be miserable. The heavens opened on us and we still chugged on but thankfully stopped later and most of us are dreanched anyway but it adds to the fun of being in the'happening' place.

Later a group of those newly minted Makai Injun group braved our side n wanted to wade through to go over to the BN side, our Pas youth forced them back to where they came from n there were lots ofheckling and shouting and we had good fun watching them being moved back. The helicopters overhead were circling and probaby reporting back to Najis:
"Houston, we have a problem, we are hugely outnumbered and this augurs badly for us."

There's suggestion that the so-called attackers from PAS were actually paid hands from their opponents UMNO/BN. The Police could not seem to identify anybody. Kamunting would have been "filled to the brim" had it been true.

What sounds so daunting is that Muhyiddin was calling this incident "dirty" tactics. Talk about "good guilt"! And Umno supreme council member Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim "felt like fainting, I threw up and passed out. I was in pain and my blood pressure shot up to 65/95"! That's quite abnormal if the diastolic read is higher than the systolic. It could mean the Umno supreme council member got echoes in his chest!

Well, stranger things have happened. PAS/PR are ready with the salt.
