Rage in Tenang

Cikgu Mala, PAS Candidate for Tenang, Johore and her husband, wading through it all - flood waters and controversies.

Two things are on the boil in Tenang on my myopic view.

We saw how the State Education Director of Johore was swooning over the Department's staff and you have to be smart enough to have to figure out that won't spill down to teachers in the schools.

Then word was out, that Cikgu Mala's husband, a teacher, was very visual on the campaign trail. Wouldn't you if your wife was fighting for her life at the polls? Well, then Muhyiddin was fuming when the news wound its way to him that Cikgu Mala's hubby was playing truant: pretending to be sick and not in the classroom but seen with the candidate his wife, Cikgu Mala.

To put it simply. The Minister of Education, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, also from Johore the state Tenang is in, dismissed the incident of the State Director of Education campaigning on government time and resources. That's small matter. What is serious is the husband is supposedly abusing his position as the PAS candidate's wife spouse and being a teacher. That's sacreligious. Doesn't matter if University students cannot get invloved in politics!

How to read Muhyiddin's lips? Did he say yes or no? Did he mean it's free for all?

Last week, he came back from Washington, prided himself on being told by Clinton that Malaysia as country has fantastic characteristics, the full length and breadth. You name it, we have them all. I guess that means warts and all!

If you don't know it already, Muhyiddin is from Johore where Tenang is not so calm, now!

So it's a free for all in Tenang, as far as Education Department, Staff and Teachers. That includes, Cikgu Mala's husband.

I would be there, too, were she my wife. Look at the flood waters.

State Education Director, caught red-handed.

UPDATE | TENANG BY ELECTION

"Cooperate with the police and return home after casting your votes," he said.

Earlier he attended a briefing by Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff on the preparations for the by-election, here.

He said police were ready for any eventualities, including the possibility of flood.- Bernama
# Isn't it time, the Police WORK for the Rakyat? Since donkey years, the Rakyat have been working for the Police and paying them salaries. Then there's the commission for those canopies!

RM888 BILLIONS | Twisting Oliver

RM888 billions - as good as RM1.0 trillion, just short of RM112 billions.

There is the dark side and there is the bright side. GFI, Global Finance Integrity lays out all the resources the world has lost, including Malaysia's. It's still there actually, somewhere.

But that's a lot of money Malaysia has lost - RM888 billions via bad governance and bad government.

This may or may not take the wind out of WikiLeaks but this the new revolution - how to ensure everyone behaves.

What can we do to convince people that they don't have to steal or shouldn't steal?

Chop their hands off?

Maybe, maybe not!
