Protests against Sarawak CM, Abdul Taib Mahmud at Oxford's Said Business School
Live updates: Protest in Oxford U gets under way
The protesters come from various groups; they are mostly individuals concerned about various issues. Says one British protester: “We want to make people in the UK and around the world aware and to let them know that there are people who care about the Penan. It is completely unacceptable that under Taib’s administration, much of the forest has been given to plantations and dams. The Penan have the right to their land.”

Good job guys, thank you!
You sent that Sarawak kleptocrat running for cover, looking for a back door entrance into Oxford Said Business School!
So now those BN scumbags realise that their big fat long titles from Malaise means nothing once they are out of the country. They are nobody and people don't care!
Everybody got wind of it only last Friday. A bit late but enough to make a strong point!
Let's see how many rotten eggs he will be pelted with during the prostest!
LOL!!! the latest in Sarawakreport.org said this..
#The protest certainly denied Taib his grand entrance. He had been due to arrive in style, greeted by the University’s Vice Chancellor (the sponsorship must have been huge) to give the opening speech for the two-day conference, but he ended up being sneaked in past the protesters and ushered in through the back of the building. A break-away group who spotted his entry surrounded his car and waived their banners in disgust#
- yeah, it certainly did deny Taib his grand entrance, what a 'drop water face' for this Sarawak rat!
What a smack across the face for those irresponsible behind the Oxfard Said Business School invitation.
