They gladly kept Mas Selamat, looked after him, fed him, gave him a place to sleep then happily gave him back to Singapaore.
Are they earning commissions from Singapore for the con job?
While Zunar, some might think of as a paper tiger, was hauled away and locked up. Zunar has been good for the economy - the printers were happy, book sellers were happy and most of all he brings lots of smiles to otherwise depressed and cynical Malaysians!
All that Zunar did was guess who might win the World Cup!

While Banting has become a killing field, the Police just can't stop to ridicule themselves!
But the stereotype Malaysian is everywhere Truly Malaysian, even in London!
If you go to Malaysia Chronicle, you will see the cartoon strips that caused the gomen to go on a witch hunt.. you know as the saying goes, 'siapa yang makan cili, dia yang rasa pedas'. The cartoon is so subtle that it will take Hawkings or Eintsein to read the science in it. I really don't know what charge will they pin on Zunar this time... for drawing such ugly cartoons?
Hopefully, genesis, not detonation charges ! :-))
Maybe just some browbeating? Zunar's office is located in Brickfields! There's a head hunter in the area!
Arhhh, that head-hunter! I know someone - that's his favourite pin-up! :D
The new IGP Ismail must be a joker! While his predecessor Musa Hasan went for lit and un-lit candles, this guy prefers Zunar's comics! Hey Zunar, make sure they mata-mata returns every single copy they carried away. Jokers!!!
Well, rot has eaten away at PDRM, right to the core. It will just cost us much more at reforms.
At one stage, I was told once that, Police Officers must meet some target, like how many cases a month, like a sales target. Sensible when crime rate is high. But there could be monkeys who must have taken the easy way out.
Still, if you have monkeys like the "head hunter", what can we expect? He should be sacked and next thing you know he might be UMNO Division leader!
For this arrest of Zunar, can you imagine the number of votes they have lost already? Serves them right!
Anyway, Anil says Zunar's been released !
News of that must have gone right round the world thousands of time, which of course makes "1Malaysia" a global laughing stock! :-))
"...the number of votes they have lost already..."
Classic Murphy's Law ...it goes wrong because it's wrong! :-))
Genesis mirrors my thoughts. Let's support Zunar and buy his book. I shall be taking orders for it and collect from my friend when i see him next month.
Anon,
I thought you bought dozens already! ;-))
Anyway, we might soon seen a strong revival of Wayang Kulit. On Wayang Street?
Rais Yatim said on TV culture brings prosperity but he might have meant Satay and kacang sauce!!!
Like Najib's "Hungry Ghose" culture, Rais meant 'Head-Hunters'!
You can buy online at cartoonkafe.com or call 03 22724045.
Lim Kit Siang said years ago Rais had got no head to lose! Rais is a louse, anyway!
Jarod,
Maybe in their sick reasoning way, those buzzards hadn't realized they've done Zunar a big favor. Zunar will now have to draw faster than the speed his cartoons will sell! That's good, even Government can collect a little more taxes but significantly much less than those incomes untouchable by the IRD!
But Zunar will need to relocate to new premises in another location where there are less "head hunters" preying! On a bigger scale it hits you that it's a no brainer our FDI sunk so low!
Btw remember the 'culture shock' we had Rais Yatim tried to introduce some years back - standard formal attires ala Rais for government and civil servants? Why, is his wife is into design and tailoring business arh?
Salak, I doubt it will hit the SHELVES and the gomen might not wanna collect the taxes. Haram lah the cartoon...hahahaa
Actually that Rais betul betul otak tak center. Zunar should make comics of that foolish man who thinks he has so much authority. LOL!!!!
The harm's done, Jarod!
They know what is most sensible to do. Anything less means more problems than anybody will want!
AssamJawa,
Tak center and others. Nazri had too much of it and bluntly called them bigots! We hope Nazri meant it.
