It's funny why Malaysians place so much importance on "the loss of face". And at the prospect of losing "our" own face, we let the next person have that honor, or shame!
LAT can take a good look at you for 5 mins, then closes his eyes, and he'll get you---with your nose! What better way to place importance on our person, than our with our nose. We need that badly for our durians.
But most of all we need that to smell a rat!
Speaking of rats you must remember that old Legend of Hamelyn, The Pied Piper, as told by the Brothers Grim. The story is a little like DBKL, DBKU or MBKS being infested by rats.
Some of it -
Rats! They fought the dogs and killed the cats,
And bit the babies in the cradles,
And ate the cheeses out of the vats,
And licked the soup from the cooks' own ladles,
Split open the kegs of salted sprats,
Made nests inside men's Sunday hats,
And even spoiled the women's chats,
By drowning their speaking
With shrieking and squeaking
In fifty different sharps and flats.
