PUTRAJAYA, July 3 (Bernama) -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin attended the 214th meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Melawati here Thursday.
He was accompanied by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The two-day meeting, which ends today, was chaired by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Keeper of the Rulers'Sean Engku Tan Sri Ibrahim Engku Ngah said in a statement that the meeting discussed matters relating to defence, security, economy, religion, the petroleum industry and Petronas' role as well as appointments.
All the rulers and Yang Dipertua Negeri were present except for the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan of Johor and Sultan of Terengganu who sent their representatives.m
Pahang was represented by its regent, Tengku Mahkota Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, Johor by the Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ibrahim Ismail Sultan Iskandar and Terengganu by president of the Regency Advisory Council Tengku Sri Panglima Raja Tengku Baderulzaman Sultan Mahmud.
