KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: A hospital official says that a medical report appearing to vindicate Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in a sodomy case "looks genuine."
However, authorities say the report was written by a general practitioner in an emergency ward who was not qualified to draw conclusions on sodomy.
Anwar has been accused of sodomizing his 23-year-old male aide, who filed a police complaint after being examined at two hospitals. On Tuesday, Anwar said a medical report from the first hospital indicated there was no evidence of sodomy.
The hospital medical director Kamaruddin Ahmad said Wednesday the report "looks genuine."
But he said that a "sodomy examination must be done by a specialist."

It looks genuine. It sounds genuine.
But doesn't it smell genuine?
Another 2 years in medical school to do posterear analysis? We can spend 6 months on olfaction and make this country fragrant, and less aromatic!
